Tales From The Clothesline Countdown Day 20: The homes we grew up in tell tales of our happiness, pride, soft places, concerns, fear, and our understanding of the world. Our youth is molded by the people who walk inside of our home (our minds), the things we longed for at the window, the strength of the foundation, and the security of our roofs. We speak the native language of our childhood homes, and often times people outside of similar homes do not speak that same language, and that is what makes it so hard to conversate. Our most beautiful and horrifying experiences pull us into a world we never asked for, but somehow we learn how to ride the wave. Since we can never truly leave behind our childhood, isn't it amazing when we learn how to tear down, renovate, and make our homes our own. What unexpected gift have you been offered in your life?
